The entrance of The Ghana College of Physicians was flooded with fans, family members and viewers The Challenge as they scrumbled to enter the auditorium to catch a glimpse of this Historic Grand finale
The stage was all set as the viewers and audience were trooping in to the auditorium to witness this mouth-watering Grand Finale of some the smartest brains in Ghana
Joseph and Sandra were caught in calm moods preparing earnestly for the show of their life times as the audience waited in the auditorium with bated breaths to see who would win The Biggest Prize on TV.
The Grand Finale was a Live Show on GTV and as such the crew from Charter House put ervything together to ensure the smooth and successful airing of the programme on the station of the nation
The Director of The British Council Ghana, Moses had a "tet-a-tet" with the Minister of Information, Zeeta Okai Koi before the actual show began. Behind them were representatives from the British High Commssion
A session of the audience at the auditorium waited and watched the Finals with diverse anticipations as the show rolled on
With the Biggest Prize on Ghana's TV, the auditorium was filled to capacity. Family members of the finalists, friends, fans and well wishers from all over the country came to witness the glorious Finale of this august show.
At the front row was a collection of dignataries which comprised of the Faculty, Director of the British Council and dignataries from the British High Commission
The Corporcate Communications Manager of Tigo, Gold Sponsors of The Challenge was there to catch a glimpse of the Finale and to grace the occassion as well
Mr Moses Anibaba, Director of the British Council gave a short speech before the actual commencement of the show
The audience and invited guests were treated with a traditional choreography that thrilled them. For any one who was there, it was one of the most interesting aspects of the Show.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the host of the show finally came to the stage and introduced the Final show for the night and invited the six finalists to come on stage
And.. finally, the audience got to see the six finalsist they had been waiting for all along - Joseph, Afumaa, Sandra, Anastacia, Araba and Michael
The Minister of Information, Miss Zeeta Okaikoi was there to grace the occassion; She gave a speech and her opinion about The Challenge while the finalists sat with their patience running out.
The host, Kojo looked on and waited for his turn of the show as the Minister of Information gave her speech. The stage was set for an epic Final of the smartest brains rubbing shoulders against one another
The Board members were all set to put the finalists to a real final test before declaring the eventual winners of The Challenge
Albert, a faculty member was called upon to give a brief introduction about the tasks for the finals and what the audience should have expected
It was all joy written on the faces of Kojo and Albert as they rounded up that segment of the show and prepared the way for the various groups to give the audience and the world a five-minute account of what their socio-economic task was all about
The IMPACT group was the first to present their project about revamping the chalk factory of the phisically challenged
While the IMPACT group made their presentations, some of the phyisically challenged who were beneficiaries of the project were there in the auditorioum to see their benefactors succeed by cheering them on with their presence.
The BOTHO Group was the next to give an account of the exploits of their socio-economic task to the audience and the viewers
The JESK group was the next to present their project to the audience and the viewers and it was led by Sandra and supported by other group members - Joseph, Enoch and Katherine.
The audience listened and watched with all their attention because these presentations were also part of deciding the overall winner of The Challenge Season 2
Albert was not left out as he watched and listened attentively to every bit of The presentations from the audience.
One of the seasoned and finest contemporary comedians in Ghana - David Oscar set the stage ablaze with rib cracking jokes when he mounted the stage to give the audience who were tensed to see the winner some humorous moments
The C.E.O of IPMC was there to witness the Grande Finale of The Challenge as he sat amongst the audience to catch every glimpse of the Show.
Kojo introduced representatives from the sponsoring universities, namely, University of Westminster, Thames Valley University and London Metropolitan University. They were to help the board as judges for the night.
After welcoming the university representatives, the Board for the night constituted the natural Board of The Challenge and the three sponsoring university representatives. That made it a total of six astute Board members for the Grand Finale.
Afumaa was the first to deliver her pitch for the ultimate prize to the six-member Board and the audience.
Michael Kingsley Quaye was the second to deliver his pitch for the Big Prize to justify to the six-member Grand Finale Board.
Joseph Opoku was the third to deliver his pitch for the Big Prize to justify to the six-member Grand Finale Board.
After presenting his pitch for the ultimate prize, Joseph was highly commended by Dr Dei-Tumi, a board member and he said "Joseph, I have watched you improve steadily throughout The Challenge, you've really impressed me tonight."
Dr Pascal, Delores, Mr Moses Anibaba and Hon. Zeeta Okaikoi closely watched the finalists one after the other as they came to deliver their pitches for the ultimate prize of The Challenge
Faculty members and VIPs were there in the audience to listen to what the finalists had to say to win the scholarships at stake
Anastacia Catherine Arko was the fourth to deliver her pitch for the Big Prize to justify to the six-member Grand Finale Board why she deserved the Ultimate Prize.
Araba was the fifth to deliver her pitch for the Big Prize to justify to the six-member Grand Finale Board why she deserved the Ultimate Prize.
Sandra was the last yet no the least to deliver her pitch for the ultimate prize to the six-member Board and the audience.
The six finalsists were all seated after the musical interlude with high adrenalins and mixed feelings. They wer waiting for the results of their Group's socio-economic task and the declaration of the winners
The results had been consolidated and presented to Albert by Media Edge for clarification and eventual declaration by the host, Kojo.
Eventually, the silence was broken and the JESK group who commissioned a snail farm for a Foster Home in a suburb of Accra were announced winners of The Socio-economic Task Project of The Challenge Season 2
The joy of the JESK Group reached a crescendo when their Group was chose as the winner. It was all joy written on their faces and already two members from that group who were also in the final six had won awards prior to the selection of the winners
It was getting impatient and hotter for the rest with a lot of tension when Araba was announced as the second runner up.
Joseph Opoku was crowned the Winner of The Challenge Season 2 to the applause of the audience. He stood out in his pitch with an all different style and clarity of thoughts, expression and genuineness.
All the six finalists posed for a momentous group picture on the stage after the delcaration of the winners
