- About The Challenge
The Challenge 2009 seeks to elicit originality, innovation and a new approach that is clever, challenging and fun.
The show reflects a confident, relaxed approach that values the individual, rewards new ideas and offers a wide range of courses that education can be effectively personalized.
This year’s show has selected out of thousands of applicants we received, 25 lucky individuals who had to demonstrated academic excellence, leadership competencies, as well as character and creativity. The 25 candidates have undergone a series of interviews by a panel which includes representatives of the three sponsor universities, who have shortlisted the candidates to 12 finalists to participate in the Reality TV Show.
The 12 finalists will receive extensive personal and professional development training and compete against each other in a series of weekly tests, debates, tasks and quizzes in management, leadership, creativity and UK-Ghana trivia.
The contestants will be adjudged by a 3-member Scholarship Committee; named “THE BOARD” to be made up of renowned business leaders. Depending on performance against set criteria, three contestants would be nominated by the Board for eviction after three segments of the show. Eight (7) out of the 12 contestants will be fired (evicted) over a twelve-week period.
The 5 remaining contestants will go head-to-head in a grand finale contest to determine the winners of scholarship packages valued in excess of £75,000.
‘The Challenge’ will run for 14 weeks on GTV and will afford the general public the opportunity to participate as studio audience members and also via weekly SMS prize draws and eviction voting.
