  • About Me
Michael Kingsley Quaye is the name my parents gave me at birth. I was born in a little village in the Central Region called Agona-Bobikuma. I am in a family of eight; my parents, my three siblings (Debby, Mercy and Enoch), my in-law Gabby and my little niece; Maame Korang.

I started nursery at the Connie's Day Care in Bubiashie and continued after nursery at Kaneshie North One Primary School (SYTO). When we moved to Dansoman, my industrious father took my big sister and I to our first preparatory school called the Ghana Believers Church Preparatory School and Junior Secondary School (JSS). In both primary and JSS, I was the Assistant Boys Prefect. I finished my basic education in 1999 and gained admission into Saint Augustine's College (AUGUSCO) in Cape Coast in 2000.

In AUGUSCO, I studied Business. In Forms One and Two, I was elected as the Assistant Class Prefect and in my final year, I was the Secretary of the Protestant Drama Group. I have a lot of respect for my school because every Augustinian and Apsunian is required to practice many virtues. Among them are teamwork, trustworthiness, leadership, loyalty and above all the fear of God.

I entered the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) in 2003, and majored in Banking and Finance. In my third year, I was elected as the president of the Junior Common Room of the Business School. Some of my administration's achievements are:
Improving the quality of our T-shirts and other paraphernalia.
Starting the most profitable venture in the business school.
Obtaining sponsorship for exercise books and other paraphernalia.
Successful inauguration of the Business School.
Breaking away the apathy of students towards the school's activities.
    Bringing students and faculty closer
Donating books to the library and
The passing of a procurement law and a financial manual.
Moreover, I was awarded by the students of the business school as the best executive officer for 2005/2006 academic year.
I was part of a three-member-committee in my hall (Akuafo), that reviewed our constitution. I was also a member of the General Assembly of the Student's Representative Council and served on its Finance committee.

My friends and I have set up an Investment club and we are in the process of setting up a company. My motivation is learning new skills, working as part of a team and meeting deadlines. I am God-fearing, hardworking and sociable. For my hobbies, I enjoy watching movies and singing I trust my voice. With a dream to build one of the largest multinational companies in the world and also assist in building a strong and buoyant economy that will provide the happiness and opportunities we of Africa seek, I believe winning the challenge will provide me with the necessary platform to reach this aspiration. I also believe in God and know it's only His eminent mercy and favour that can get me where I want to be...this is just the beginning.

  • Why people should vote to keep me in the house :
I am innovative, determined, hardworking and interesting and I believe voting for me will not only give me the opportunity of studying and interacting with the best but also you will be contributing to the new dream for Africa. A world free of hunger, poverty and war and will provide we the young ones and the future generations the happiness and opportunities we seek...God bless you!
  • Why i decided to take part in the challenge :
I joined the challenge because I intend to use it as another step toward my dreams since it will give me the opportunity and the experience I need and to study from a country I believe is the knowledge hub of the world
