About Me
I belong to a family of six. Their tutelage and training guided me to be modest, benign, astute and daring. They instilled in me the fear of the Lord and taught me always to observe the Golden Rule.
I started my basic education at the Ridge International School in Takoradi, Ghana in 1991. I completed primary school in 1996 and moved on to the Junior Secondary School (JSS). I became the protocol prefect and represented my school to win numerous laurels in competitive debates and quizzes.
From 1997-2000, I had the opportunity to co-host a radio programme by name Skyy Kiddie time with Skyy Power FM, the first privately owned radio station in Takoradi. This opportunity soared my confidence and polished my eloquence. The exposure from this gradually made me into a public speaker. I was always invited to speak at youth meetings and to my childrens' programmes all over the country.
I gradually developed a passion for writing literary expositions with poetry being my main deal. In the year 2001, I was honoured by the International Society of Poets at the Hilton Hotel in Washington DC for my contribution to poetry and had the opportunity for my poems to feature in renowned anthologies along world acclaimed poets. These feats opened doors for me in the Bahamas and the United States to yet still address youth gatherings as a Guest Speaker.
My experiences at the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School – Legon, where I moved on after JSS made me into a multitasking individual. I played active roles in ten Clubs, Associations and Leadership positions and still managed to maintain a solid academic record.
After I completed my prescribed course in Business in PRESEC, I moved on to the University of Choice the University of Cape Coast (UCC), where I pursued a Bachelors degree in Commerce and graduated with honours. My UCC experienced was a wonderful but stressful one. It moulded me into a survivor and an excellent contingency planner because our curriculum was rigorous and the lecturers always demanded the best from us. I completed my degree programme in May 2007.
In June 2007, my roommates and I incorporated Fostumbaikey Ltd. a Business Consultancy and Accountancy firm to render quality service to Businesses and companies in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana and beyond. The Fostumbaikey experience has been a rich one.
As the CEO of this young accounting firm, each day has been a new learning opportunity for me. It has been challenging but worthwhile after all life in itself is a big CHALLENGE.
Why people should vote to keep me in the house :
My life has been a comic series of two ends: lack and enough, peace within and tumult without, uncertainty and a blurred vision of promise. Through all these, I have grown to learn how to abound and to abase, how to glory over a few and how to be humble and be thankful with just enough. How to be peaceful and focused when all hell is breaking lose.
I believe my life can identify with a lot of Ghanaians both young and old; the young who believe in self and are determined to make things work against all odds and the grown who still fancy humility and respect for others as virtues. A vote for me is a vote for you because I am just like you.
Why i decided to take part in the challenge :
I believe that every opportunity that has room for your aspirations and values must be jumped at. The Challenge offers the opportunity for higher learning with all expenses paid, a definite career path with no sweat, a myriad of network options with the people in commerce and industry and above all a platform to make your voice count in Ghana and the world. The Challenge is a true opportunity!
