About Me
I was born to Mr K. P.Gyan and Mrs Cecila Gyan on the 28th of April, 1985 at the Nsawam Government Hospital. I have two siblings; Nana Afua Korang Gyan (A nurse) and Yaw Ofori Gyan(a chemist). I grew up in and had my basic education at Nana Osae Djan primary and J.S.S Nsawam and completed in year 2000.
I continued with my secondary education at St Roses’ Secondary School in Akwatia in the eastern region between 2001 and 2003. I actively participated in various sporting activities (volleyball, javelin and high jump) and this landed me with a prefectship position in my second year as well as a name, “the highlander”.
After my secondary education, I had the opportunity of working with the accounts department of the Nsawam government hospital from November, 2003 to July 2004. I learnt a lot in the areas of revenue, discharge and records. Later in the month of August I entered Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to pursue BA Social Sciences with economics and Geography as my courses.
My passion for sports was exhibited through my participation in inter-hall sporting activities for my hall of residence (Independent Hall). After second year, I opted for economics as my single major. During my long vacation in the third year, I had my internship at Ghana Commercial Bank, Nsawam branch. This exposed me to various banking processes and improved my interpersonal skills through the number of customers I handled in the areas of printing of bank statements and balance checking.
I did my dissertation in my final year and it was on development of Ghana through micro, small and medium scale enterprises. I graduated with a First Class Honours in Bachelor of Arts major in Economics and I am currently having my National Service at the Akuapem South Municipal Assembly in Nsawam.
