  • About Me
I was born on 1st February, 1985 to Dr. Victor Ayitey Attoh of James Town and Esther Dede Barkey Adjei of Manya Krobo, I am the last of six children: Albert (IT systems analyst) Elsie(Advertising executive), William(Barrister & pilot),
Nancy (Fashion editor), Nathaniel (Sports Journalist).

I was raised in Osu where I started my formal education at Hillside Nursey school. In September 1991, I entered Ridge Church School where I received a book prize for being an outstanding student every year, was HeadGirl in class six and obtained my basic education certificate in August 2000. I was admitted into Wesley Girls' High School in January 2001. I served as a Salesgirl and eventually Public
Relations Officer for Junior Achievement Company, the President of American Feild Service (AFS) whilst there. I lost my father four days to the start of my final exams but I obtained my Senior Secondary School certificate with very good grades in August 2003.

In September 2003, I gained employment as an office assistant at Safety Insurance Brokers Limited in Osu,where I performed my roles as Secretary and Insurance Officer. As part of my work, I had to market travel insurance in the departure lounge of the airport, a job which I executed with commitment until I gained admission into University of Ghana, Legon to read Biological Science.

I didn't gain admission into the medical school as I had planned but
I graduated with a Second class upper degree in Biochemistry.Whilst in Legon, I studied for and obtained a single subject diploma
in business management and administration from the Institue of
    Commercial Management in the UK.
Currently, as service to the nation, I work as a Research Assistant to
the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Ghana, Legon.

I plan in the next ten years to be a medical practitioner privately. This I plan to achieve by obtaining a Masters' degree in Biomedical Science next year, after which I'll enter medical school to qualify as a Medical Doctor. I'll gain some experience by working for three years before I enrol for a PhD in immunology doing research into cancer and auto-immune diseases. I hope to also have a family by the time i am through with my studies.

I love children so I plan to run an orphanage someday. I also love to meet
people, cook and read all sorts of literature. I was baptised and confirmed into the Anglican Church. I worship at Accra Ridge Church where I am a layreader. Even though I play no sport, I am a very good cheerleader.
  • Why people should vote to keep me in the house :
Vote for me because I'll make your vote worthwhile. If you're going to vote for someone to win 30,000 pounds in scholarship and other benefits, that person should impress you with intelligence, hardwork and Ghanaian values that would sell Ghana abroad. That person should exhibit belief in impacting the Ghanaian soceity with knowledge and skills acquired. I am that person so please support me by texting KATHERINE to 1750 on any mobile phone network.
You'll be proud you helped choose me as a winner. Thank you!
  • Why i decided to take part in the challenge :
For me to bring out the best of my Intellect and creativity in executing the tasks given, to market myself to the public and to improve myself through interaction with my fellow contestants, the faculty and the board and to build my confidence through the TV reality show. Ultimately, the challenge offers me the opportunity to experience the world-class education that the UK has to offer.
  • Groups
I belong to the follwoing Groups: Accra Ridge Church School Alum 2000
Wesley Girls High School - 2003 Year Group

Ghana Biochemistry Students' Association - Class Of 2008
  • Other Information
At the launch of the Challenge, I was one of the 12 semifinalists who didn't make it to the finals. Call it fate, destiny, what is meant to be will be; evicted at the launch and part of the final 12 now has taught me one lesson of life: "EVERY MOMENT COUNTS-SHOWCASE YOURSELF AND SHINE AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY." With this at the back of my mind and with God's favour on my side, I'll see you definitely at the top!
