A memorable Party for Children with Autism

On the event day, members of the group, transported about 40 children with Autism together with their attendants and the President of the AACT, Mrs. Serwaa Quarynor to the children’s park where they entertained the kids with various activities. These included songs, dance competition and a ride on the Children’s train. The kids also had lots of food and drinks to eat.

A medical practitioner, Dr. Ben Sarkodie, used the opportunity to educate the public on Autism. He said Autism is not mental retardation but rather a developmental or behavioural disorder and asked the public to show them care and help them to be trained to become independent children just like other children.
