All six were good and competent and I knew the race was going to be tough. One thing I knew was that I was going to be among the first three, I just couldn’t predict who else would be there, but I knew it was going to be a close shave. I was nervous and anxious but optimistic. I mastered my presentation without the help of notes or cue cards and set likely questions with reference to the things I said in my presentation. I deigned to give simple and precise answers that would adequately answer every question without beating about the bush. I also made up my mind not to let the tension get to me and to consciously school myself to answer the question in an easy manner. On the stage, I answered more questions than I thought I would and at some time, I couldn’t tell if I was communicating what I meant to say. On the whole, it was good in the sense that there wasn’t any question I couldn’t answer. I was still nervous before the declaration because I knew I had done my part but I couldn’t evaluate how well the others had done.

The joy that I experienced still experiencing is indescribable. Am still getting use to the idea. Not only do I get to study for my masters but it is in a course that is relatively new to me so should pose enough challenge to be exciting. Though I don’t get to study business psychology, I studied psychology for my first degree and I’ll be studying International Business Management for my masters. It’s still in tune with my aim of a human centred place of work. The course will give me a sound grounding of business with an international perspective and I can’t wait. In joining The Challenge, I expected to face challenging situations that will push me to my limit and help me discover aspects of myself hitherto unknown and unharnessed, and the challenge did just that. Personally, I wanted to put myself through the mill and come out a better person than when I went in. I am grateful to God, my family, friends and students who were with me every step of the way.
